Interesting Correlation
I was just watching the fourth season of Babylon 5, and I suddenly realized that Ivanova strongly reminds me of Andrea. (Trust me, Andrea, the comparison is flattering)

Snickerdoodles, part 2
I’m making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. People that had no previous reason to like me made a point of complimenting me on the cookies! This was despite the more-brown-then-I-like bottoms (the oven needs calibration). Anyway, my faith in myself as a baker is restored.

A Target Experience
I’m about to take the bus home, so I opened the box I got from target to see if there were sub-boxes so that I would only have to carry the cookie-sheet box (yay!). Imagine my suprise when I open the box and see a “Scalloped Heart Cake Pan” instead of the bundt pan that was supposed to be one of the items in the box! (The cookie sheets were there though). To make things even...

Snickerdoodles?
Just bought everything I need for Snickerdoodles! The plan is to make them tomorrow morning and bring some for the community group (basically, the City Reformed equivalent of Parish Group) at schenley park. Possibly, there might be some for the office too — we’ll just have to see :) The hardest thing to find was the Baker’s Parchment Paper, since there is no equivalent to Price...

An Interesting TV Show
Recently I was sucked into the television show Dexter. Dexter is one of the shows I like due to the large wierdness factor (much like the movies Brazil and 12 Monkeys). The protaganist, Dexter, is a serial killer who works as a blood splatter speciailist for the Miami-Dade PD. Of course, no one has any idea that he is a serial killer — not even his sister. As the series progresses, we learn...

Awesome, time-limited feature!
So, you all need to watch Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog for free, online. “That certainly sounds cheesy,” you might say, “why should I watch it?” BECAUSE I TELL YOU TO!!! But really, because the show is an amazingly good excercise in total silliness from Joss Whedon himself. Need I say more? Oh, and it will only be available until Sunday, so no time better than...

An Idea
Ever wanted to be able to form a group with other users of a website, but the website didn’t support creation of such groups? Perhaps you wanted to start some sort of friendly compeition? Maybe even extend the group throughout multiple websites, into some sort of clan-type thing? You may even want some features like event planning, or mailing lists? Above all, you don’t want to keep...

Bizarre Pittsburgh Factoid
Some of you may know about the linguistic study of regionally-associated dialectical differences in English, in particular the use of various words for the second person plural pronoun, best known as the southern “All y’all”. Well, apparently Pittsburgh has one too: “yinz” That is all.
