In Which I Come Clean
So, as some of you know, I have ceased to be a part of Sonya Labs for various personal reasons. What it turns out few of you know is that I have joined AmeriCorps, specifically KEYS, and am now working at an ‘inner city’ High School in Pittsburgh as a robotics tutor.
I’m thouroughly enjoying this post — I love the kids, they seem to like (or at least are helped) by me, and I love my coworkers. Only two downsides so far — tons of paperwork is involved, and it totally exhausts me — I get home around 5, and tend to got to bed around 6 or 7.
I really like being in AmeriCorps as well — it’s the first time that I’ve ever had the feeling that I could actually implement large community service type projects.
Just wanted to update everyone on my status.
